FAQs

Welcome to Chabad Aruba!

Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions visitors and locals have when planning kosher food, Shabbos, and Jewish life on the island.

KOSHER

Does Chabad offer catering?

At the moment we offer takeout catering for Shabbat meals. Please click here to see the options.

Can I call in or email you my order?

If you wish to order Kosher food from Chabad, you can place orders by visiting our website at JewishAruba.com/Kosher. Please note that our Weekday Catering Service is currently closed.

Can I order in advance?

Yes! The earlier, the better. We appreciate the advance notice, as it helps us ensure our freezers are stocked with enough meat and chicken.

Can I order less than 24 hours in advance?

Unfortunately, we can only accept orders at least 24 hours in advance. The cutoff time is Thursday at 12:00 PM. In case of an emergency, please email [email protected] to see if we can assist.

Can I purchase kosher meat in Aruba?

Yes, we carry a limited selection of Glatt kosher frozen meats at Chabad. Click here for walk-in hours and what to expect.

Can I find kosher milk in Aruba?

Many local grocery stores carry kosher milk that is not Chalav Yisrael. Be sure to check for a reliable kosher certification symbol.

Can I bring my own kosher food into Aruba?

Based on our experience, generally people have found that they have had no issues bringing in any kosher food (meat, poultry, dried goods, etc.) from the US to Aruba.

What other food can I find in Aruba?

Hyatt Regency recently opened a Glatt kosher restaurant called Piccolo Steakhouse and a pizza truck called Pizzaiolo. There are also many basic kosher items in the local supermarkets. Additionally, we carry some basic frozen meat and poultry which you can pick up at Rimon Corner during walk-in hours at Chabad.

What else do the local supermarkets carry in terms of kosher goods?

You can find many dried goods such as cereals, pastas, canned foods, and much more in these places. Due to the nature of the island, many food items are seasonal and cannot be consistently found in local supermarkets. You may want to call the supermarkets in advance to make sure they have what you need in stock.
